How do I take a test?

The first page you see when you click on a test will tell you the parameters in place for your exam. Pay close attention to this page so that you can ensure you are prepared to begin your assessment.

  1. Each test will look different, and questions may be given to you all at once, or one at a time. Some tests will allow you to go back and change your answers, and other tests will not.
  2. Be sure to pay attention to any instructions or conditions that have been set for the test. For example, you may see a timer, backtracking may or may not be allowed, and you may only have one attempt to complete the test or quiz. If you have any technical problems while taking the test, notify your instructor immediately. This could be the difference between submitting a complete or incomplete exam on time to your instructor.

Some Tips:

  1. Make sure to save your answers as you take your test.
  2. Click Save and Submit only after you have completed the entire test.
  3. If your test requires an essay, type it out in a word processor first and then paste your work into the Text Editor box. This will ensure you have a copy of your work.
